2019 Summer Championship / Where to find the Regulations
From April the 2019 Lydd International Summer Championship will be run under an event permit issued by Motorsport UK (MSA). The race days will be promoted and administered by BMKR on behalf of Lydd International Kart Circuit.
The BMKR website www. bmkr.co.uk has a dedicated Lydd International Championship page plus access to all the links for Live Timing, online race entries, current entry list and championship standings.
Full Championship regulations & SR’s can be found at www.bmkr.co.uk
Meetings will take place on the second Sunday of each month between April and October 2019. The dates are:
Sunday 14th April, Round 1
Sunday 12th May, Round 2
Sunday 9th June, Round 3
Sunday 14th July, Round 4
Sunday 11th August, Round 5
Sunday 8th September, Round 6
Sunday 13th October, Round 7
The April, June and September race meetings will also count towards the ‘2019 Kent Kart Championship’.
A current Motorsport UK licence is required to participate in the above Championships. For details on how to obtain an MSA licence please visit the website or contact the bmkr admin team.
Practice Days will be run on the Saturday before each meeting 10am-4pm. These are open race practice/test days run by the staff at Lydd; sessions for Bambino (Including IAME Bambino), Cadets, Juniors & Seniors will rotate, approximately every hour. So, experienced drivers participating in IKR race meetings elsewhere are welcome to join these practice days also, however, please do contact us in advance of coming to confirm your kart spec is ok to run ‘most important’ thank you. Bambino hour on these Saturday’s remains in place 9am to 10am (2019 to Include IAME Bambino). Sign-on for this happens in the usual way, inside the clubhouse at Lydd, 8am onwards. You do not need the licence in order to attend practice on these Saturdays, however, a good & safe standard of driving will be expected, IE, if you are a newbie to owner driver karting, this race practice Saturday would not be suitable for you, as the grids will be busy with experienced drivers. Please contact staff at Lydd for further discussions on this one, thank you. There are other practice options for owner drivers starting out, which will lead up to you joining the Saturday open race practice/test days, if that is what you would like to do.
For the summer championship/Sunday race day enquiries, could all drivers restrict their communication with the BMKR admin team to either e-mail [email protected] or by text/phone on 07789488424.
Please do not contact Bayford circuit offices with club enquires or use any of the many social media platforms available as it is difficult to monitor all of them efficiently.
So, here’s to a great race season, thank you to all.
